Electron, JavaScript, Ghostery adblocker

An Arc-style browser on Electron for Mac and Windows. Blocks ads and trackers, has per-site privacy switches, and installs Chrome extensions. Open source, affiliated with neither Arc nor Helium.

Tabs in a sidebar, trackers out. Heliarc began as a prototype mixing the Arc interface with the privacy defaults of the Helium browser.

Blocking uses the Ghostery adblocker with a choice of filter lists. A shield in the sidebar gives each site its own switches for ads, third-party cookies, hardware masking and WebRTC protection. A Private space lives in memory only and is wiped when its last tab closes.

Chrome extensions install from the Chrome Web Store. Password managers such as Bitwarden and Proton Pass run. declarativeNetRequest is not supported. History, bookmarks and passwords import from Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Firefox and Safari.

It has its own small design system with tokens and an automatic guard, and updates itself on Mac.
